Indian wedding outfit ideas for Sister of the Bride/Groom | Indian Bridesmaid Outfits (Trending Outfit Ideas for 2021)

After bride and groom the main point of attraction in an Indian wedding is bride and groom's sister. And Sister of bride and groom is the one who has to look out to a lot of things and take all the responsibilities at the same time so the bride and groom can enjoy their moment

While doing all this  they don't really get enough time to pamper themselves. I myself  have experienced the same in my sister's wedding but still managed to set some serious #bridesmaidgoals.

So, I thought let's share my wedding outfit ideas that I chose after spending a hell lot of time and efforts, so that you won't be wasting your  time on browsing endless ideas on social media like I did.  Let's dive in...

Wedding day outfits  for Sister of the Bride/Groom :

1.

Lehenga choli is an Indian trend which can never go out of trend, only change is styling it with trending styles and fabrics.

I got this whole outfit design designed by myself  taking inspiration from celebrity outfits and had it custom made by a designer. Infect I get a lot of my outfits customized in my own way but you can definitely search it in stores, mix and match and create your own style blending with your own personality.

The Lehenga has got two layers. The upper layer is topped with embroidered flower with a mix of sequin touch. The lower layer is a full ruffled skirt matching with my semi-ruffled Dupatta.
On top of the Lehenga is a simple sleeveless golden and silver sequin worked blouse which perfectly blends with the Lehenga.

Now there is a bonus tip:-

If your outfit is all heavy worked as in my case, try to accessorize it with minimal jewellery like rings and a watch or bracelet to get a classic royal look. If you wear a heavy outfit and and overload yourself with accessories which I've seen a lot of people, even with good fashion sense, do , Its gonna look like a mess and will be hard to carry as well. Try to stay comfortable as much as you can.

Also I chose this faded flamingo peach shade to sync-in with my sister's raspberry red bridal outfit to create a contrast.

The 2nd outfit is a Pleated silk skirt with a zari worked  blouse on top.

In our Indian culture, a wedding is not just the wedding day, its loaded with a lot of rituals and functions for 2-3 days. And you have to make sure to slay all. If you are an Indian you can relate 😄

Silk pleated skirts gained a huge popularity in 2020 and the best thing about pleated skirts are you can wear it for any function at any time of the day, the only deal is how you play with different colours.

For example, you can use a more vibrant colour like  yellow, cyan etc. for a day look with a white shirt and it will make a perfect haldi or mehendi outfit and if you want to glam up in a pleated skirt for a night function, you can use a more dark shade like wine colour or navy blue colour with heavy worked blouse like I did.

So yeah, you can mix and match it for any function according to yourself and you're good to go.
