I've arranged it in 10 key points so that you don't have to browse lot of websites and waste your time.

So, lets get directly to the tips

Tips for a Safe and Healthy Holi

Tip 1 :

Oil Massage

1 day prior to the celebration, make sure to oil massage yourself properly.

You can oil your Face and body well with any good oil you use but I would recommend coconut oil because it doesn't stick a lot like mustard oil and doesn't have a bad smell as well.

Oil massage works wonder for your skin. It doesn't let colours go deeper in your skin and post celebration it acts as a cleanser and helps in removing the colours along with dirt and keep your skin nourished.

Coconut oil helps in keeping your skin hydrated and reduce water loss in dry skin.

Tip 2 :

Apply Oil based moisturiser.

Before applying makeup, make sure to apply oil or oil based moisturiser on your face and massage it gently with your fingers.

Don't forget to massage behind your neck, behind your ears, on your eyelashes and lips.

Tip 3 :

Apply Sunscreen

Never, I repeat , Never ever skip your sunscreen, and of course wear a waterproof sunscreen. Its gonna protect your skin from those dirty water with harmful Holi colours and save you from harmful sun rays.

Tip 4 :

Wear Sunglasses.

Wear a sunglass to protect your eyes and also it gives you a fashionable Holi look. Holi is a festival of colours and a colourful sunglass totally give you a young, vibrant vibe

Tip 5 :

Try Braided hairstyles.

It absolutely goes well with any outfit, be it traditional or western or a fusion, it looks stylish. Hair Braids act as a barrier and protect your hair from colours going deep into roots.

Tip 6 :

Keep your Hair tied.

If you don't want to do Hair Braids at least make sure to keep your hair tied in a bun or ponytail. Hair Bun is a better option for Holi because its allows less hair exposure.

Tip 7 :

If you want to open your hair while making sure to protect it. Try this

  • Take a big stylish scarf and tie it around your head in a boho style. Add oxidized accessories

More than half of your hair and ears will get covered and you'll look super stylish at the same time.

Tip 8 :

Apply Nail paint to protect your nails.

To avoid colours getting inside you nails, make sure to apply a thick double coat of your favourite nail paint with a top and base coat.

Tip 9 :

Apply oil based waterproof makeup.

Oil based makeup helps your skin to not lose its moisture and of course waterproof makeup last long because they don't smudge when someone is rubbing colours on your face.

Tip 10 :

Stay Hydrated!

Last but not the least. Stay hydrated ! Keep yourself hydrated to avoid chaos. While enjoying the festival, we often forget to keep our self hydrated and end up falling sick.

BONUS TIP :

While removing the colour don't scrub a lot. Our skin is extremely sensitive because of Holi colours. So use a mild cleanser and remove it in 2-3 days instead of rubbing too much.

So, these are some tips everyone should follow to keep themselves safe while enjoying the festival.

Holi symbolises the triumph of good over evil. It celebrates brotherhood and so we all should make sure to not harm animals as colours are extremely harmful for them.

On that note, ending this article. Hope It helps you.

HAVE A VERY HAPPY AND COLOURFUL HOLI EVERYONE !
