1. DARAP VILLAGE

If you want a escape from the crowded town and looking for a bucolic life, enjoy the village tourism in Darap village.

The village is a living testimony of the Limboo culture and tradition that blend with natural resources and biodiversity, more than elsewhere in the state of Sikkim.

You can find plenty of Homestays in Darap village also known as Darap cherry village.

Rimbi waterfall is formed over Rimbi river and and serves as quite an ideal place to relax. Rimbi falls is one of the most attractive tourist place in Pelling at a distance of about 12-13 km from Pelling.

You'll witness a large volume of water waves falling over massive rocks surrounded by emerald greenery.

Just outside the waterfall, you can find little tea stalls that also provide momos, noodle etc. . You can sit down there and eat while watching the fall hitting the ground and splashing all around.

Overall the fall is small but quite scenic. You won't like to miss this place at all.

One more reason to visit this place is River orange garden which is 1 km from Rimbi waterfalls and my No.3 in Top 10 places to visit in Pelling list.

4. RIVER ORANGE GARDEN

The flowing Rimbi river amid green forest is quite a scenic view.

You'd need to walk down to the garden full of orange trees and different kind of colourful flowers.

Locals believe that people visiting this place get the ultimate blessing of Buddha.

7. SANGACHOELING MONASTERY

One of the oldest monasteries of Sikkim.

The speciality of SANGACHOELING MONASTERY is their morning and evening prayers.

The exciting part that attracts tourism is that the best route to reach this monastery is trekking via rich forests and hilly terrains.

Second oldest monastery of Sikkim (around 300 years old) which is said to represent Buddhist leader Rinpoche's heavenly palace called 'Santopalri'.

The whole place is surrounded with beautiful gardens and ancient sculptures.
The place will fill you up with spiritual vibe.

9. RABDENTSE RUINS

This is a must visit place for people who enjoy seeing ancient architectures. However whether you are a history buff or a nature enthusiast, the palace is gonna leave you thrilled.

It can  be reached by trekking down 2 kms from Pemayangtse gompa.

If you are planning for hiking, it takes 1.5 km hike from ruins' entrance to Rabdentse through a forest of chestnut trees, lake and breathtaking sights.

Before visiting this place, prepare yourself for a tough upward walk of 30-40 minutes. But i'm sure it will be all worth it once you reach the palace and witness
the kings austere throne made of stone, comprising three standing stones called Namphogang which was the pulpit of the judges from where they used to pronounce the judgements during their active days.

KHECHEOPALRI LAKE

It is also called wish fulfilling lake.

In Hinduism, it is said that Khecheopalri lake originated when Lord Shiva stepped on the land.

This place is also heaven for a birdwatcher as you can witness a variety of birds flying across the area.

If you love spending time in nature with silence while enjoying watching various species of birds flying across, bunch of fishes playing all around and calming sound of prayer wheels, you should include this place in your list.

So, these were my recommendation as top 10 places if you are planning to stay in pelling for 2-3 days. But there are still a lot of amazing places to visit in Pelling. If you have a longer time, consider visiting those as well.
